Google Earth provides amazing tools to anyone with some skill and imagination that can produce non-commercial wonders.  Find all kinds of data to share with students.  Many agencies,( NASA, etc) , non-profits and public benefit groups use Google
Earth and Google Maps to further their cause. Find Google Earth on the
International Space Station
, Global Awareness layers many others like  Crisis in Darfur and the new Map the Fallen.
